2.5. Layout and Skin settingsThis section explains the board's Layout and Skin settings. To access this page, go to administration section and select 'Layout and Skin' from the menu. SkinFrom the skins section you can control the global display of the board and apply other skins to your board. About skins The skins you can select are the skins available on your website (stored in the /skin/ directory). After installation, you will have at least one skin (default) available. If you install other skins in this folder, they will be visible in this skins list. Each page of the board is decorated with an upper zone called "the banner". This zone is generally used to display the organisation's logo. You can make this zone invisible by turning the layout option 'Show banner' to No. At the bottom of the pages you will see some general information on the board and a legend. This zone (called the "footer") can be removed by turning the layout option 'Show footer info' to No. LayoutThe layout options allow you controlling general page display. The page width can be fixed (in pixel) or variable (in percent). About layout The administration panel will only allows you to define the elements you want to see or hide, and the page width. All other display aspects can be configured by changing the style sheet (css file) located in the /skin/ directory. The layout options allow you controlling the number of items in pages. For instance, the maximum number of tickets per page defines how many tickets are listed in a page of a section (but also for the search result pages). The welcome message is the text displayed under the banner and the menu bar of your board. You can make this block hidden, visible, or visible for unregistered-users (i.e. while users is not logged-in). About the welcome message You can change the welcome message by editing the file /language/.../sys_welcome.txt. If you use several languages, change this file in each language directory. As this file can include html tags, this means you can use this area to display images, flash animation, advertising banner... Link to your web siteWhen the board is used as a service included in a web site, it's mandatory to have a link back to the home page of your web site. This option allows you defining this link. The link will be displayed as the first menu item (in the menu bar and in the page footer). Display optionsA set of options allows you controlling what will be displayed in the section pages or in a ticket detail page.
